This support site is a great idea!
Will this be replacing the bookup@yahoogroups.com support? Or will both sites be maintained? |

Thanks!
I think that this site will replace the Yahoo site in the next few weeks. It seems to be working well. |

This site is working well for me too. But some of the anonymous posts in this forum, like the above post, strike me as remarkable. I might be wrong, but I am under the impression that it is not very common on the Internet for forums to have anonymous posts.
I have never had this kind of experience as a member of any other forum on the Internet until I became a member of this forum recently. It was less than one week ago that I was making a post and there was something I failed to notice. When I was done submitting my post, I decided to take a look at the post I had just completed and discovered I had forgotten to log in before I posted. Boy, was I surprised I didn't even realize this was something I needed to watch out for.
Just to be clear, I am not the author of the anonymous post above. The topic of the post is Congratulations Mike! So we can all easily guess who the anonymous poster is.

Three and a half Years ago TheHerbinator and Phillip McNeely both expressed their enthusiastic acceptance of this forum. Both have made numerous useful contributions since. However, both are no longer active.
It seems that the old saying "All good things come to an end" applies to this forum as well.
Congratulations to Mike are no longer in vogue. He shares in the blame for the demise of the forum by his seemingly deliberate 'stay away' attitude.
Recently, theHerbinator tried to re-kindle the fire again, but it died again in a short time. Too bad, but it was to be expected.

And this update crap is one of the biggest reasons the forum and Bookup are dead or very close to the grave.
No customer service.
Product bugs.
Only a few members get the updates.
I could go on and on but it is hopeless. Sorry guys. At one time I though Bookup was the greatest chess software out there to help people. No longer do I feel that way. _________________ Keep Smiling!

I agree I used to love this software. But now, with solid chess trees available in other programs that do almost the same core function and total lack of support for COW I've uninstalled the program and it's doubtful if I'll go back to it. |
