Changing Product Keys

Chess Openings Wizard remembers
the product key even if you uninstall
the program.

If you accidentally use the same
product key on more than one
computer, that key will stop working
after a while as each computer needs
its own product key.

To get around this problem there
has to be a way to make a computer
forget the product key.

Here's how to make it 'forget' the
product key so that the next time you
install it, the program will ask for the
product key you want to use.

Use Windows Explorer or My Computer
to browse the folder where Chess Openings
Wizard is installed.  That folder is usually...

C:\Program Files\Bookup\Chess Openings Wizard Express

...or...

C:\Program Files\Bookup\Chess Openings Wizard Professional

Right click on the file ending in .exe.cm like...

ChessOpeningsWizardExpress.exe.cm

Select Open With... and choose Notepad.

Notepad will open and display the file.  There
will be a line in the file starting with "Path=" and
may look like this example from Windows 7...

Path=C:\ProgramData\UG\COWEXPRESS1\cm

The UG folder must be deleted to have Chess
Openings Wizard 'forget' about its product key.

In the example above, you must delete the folder....

C:\ProgramData\UG

To do that, use Windows Explorer to visit
C:\ProgramData and then right click and
delete the UG folder.
